Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1232

Chapter 1232:

Bryan furrowed his brow at that, confused. Wasn’t it perfectly normal for Eileen to go against Presley?

“I get it,” Raymond replied, thinking he caught the subtle hint in Bryan’s expression. With that, he set off to handle the Milford situation.

Once Eileen wrapped up the meeting, a secretary approached her.

“There’s someone here from the Deleon Group. They’re asking to see you,” the secretary said.

“Are you not aware of company protocol?” Eileen said coolly as she took her phone. “I don’t meet anyone unless they have a scheduled appointment.”

The secretary looked a bit uneasy. “But the person is downstairs, and they won’t leave. They said you’d definitely want to speak with them about the collaboration.”

Eileen was puzzled by the person’s confidence. However, she didn’t hesitate in her refusal. “Treat the person courteously. If they are willing to wait, then let them wait.”

With that, she shifted her focus back to the project. At the start of a new project, she was always swamped. There was no way she had time to entertain Presley’s nonsense. There wasn’t even a necessity for the EB Group to partner with the Deleon Group. Even if there were, she still wouldn’t agree to it. The day had flown by, and it wasn’t until darkness fell that Eileen realized how late it had gotten. She glanced at her watch—it was already eight in the evening.

Grabbing her bag, she slipped on her coat and headed downstairs. The large building was completely empty and bathed in silence.

As she passed the entrance, she nodded to the security guard. Before she could fully register her surroundings, a figure suddenly appeared in front of her. The security guard was quick to act, standing in front of Eileen to protect her.

“There’s no need to be so tense,” Colby said with a nod and a smile. “Mrs. Dawson, I’ve been waiting all day for you. Do you have a moment to discuss the project?”

Eileen let out a breath of relief, though she frowned as she asked, “Are you representing the Deleon Group to discuss a partnership with the group? Did you have Presley reach out to me?”

She had assumed it was Presley who would come. Once talks about the collaboration started, it was certain Presley would want Bryan to handle negotiations with the Deleon Group for the project. Presley’s whole plan was simple: she just wanted to spend more time with Bryan.

“That’s right,” Colby responded with a determined voice. “Since you doubt what I’ve told you before, I have no choice but to show you proof.”noveldrama

Eileen was momentarily at a loss for words. She gave Colby a hard stare, trying to figure out if he was serious. After a moment, she raised her hand, tapped his head, and said, “If there’s something wrong up here, maybe a visit to the hospital would do you some good. What kind of man would go out of his way to set up opportunities for his wife to cheat on him?”

There was no sign of anger or jealousy in Colby’s eyes, which confused her even more. Instead, there was something almost like excitement.

What was wrong with him?
