Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1231

Chapter 1231:

“You’re such a good actor, you know,” she said.

Bryan subtly stood up straighter. “Sweetheart, you arrived just in time. This guy cost the company a hundred grand. I say we dock him double from his pay.”

Raymond’s eyes grew wide in shock and disbelief. Bryan had just said the deduction would be a hundred thousand—how had that suddenly doubled?

“You two are always trying to keep things from me. Just tell me, what is it that you two don’t want me to know?” Eileen said directly.

Upon hearing Eileen’s words, Bryan cast a glance over at Raymond.

After a brief pause, Raymond spoke up. “Actually, the Deleon Group informed me that they’re interested in partnering with the EB Group. The person leading the project is… Presley.”

“Refuse them,” Eileen responded instantly, her refusal clear and firm.

She shot a sharp look before turning on her heel and heading back inside the company.

Once her figure disappeared through the company doors, Raymond let out a relieved breath.

“Mr. Dawson, there’s an update on Milford,” Raymond said.

“Where is he?” Bryan’s tone grew serious at the mention of Milford.

Raymond pulled out his phone and relayed what his subordinates had reported, saying, “According to the folks at the club, Milford has quit working at the construction site. We’ve had people keeping watch there for quite some time, but there’s been no sign of him. We’ve checked the surveillance from every major location in Onaland and found that he’s been moving around a lot lately, without a fixed pattern to where he turns up. It’s impossible to pin down what he is up to.”

“Take a look at the spots where he has been and see if there are any patterns or connections. We need to piece together every clue we can find,” Bryan said.

Tracking someone down in a big city like Onaland wasn’t usually a challenge for Bryan. After all, Bryan’s resources and influence could not be underestimated. However, Milford was a different case. He was clearly disappearing, and if someone was actively helping him, it made the search even more difficult. For the first time, Bryan found the task challenging.

“Track him down as soon as possible, but don’t push too hard. Ensure his safety. If we force him into hiding, he’ll be constantly on the run, and we don’t want that.” His main concern was figuring out Milford’s location and what he had been doing. He didn’t want to cause any trouble for Milford.noveldrama

With that thought in mind, Bryan frowned and added, “Can’t keep this from Eileen forever. From now on, avoid using the Deleon Group as a cover story when you need an excuse.”

More specifically, he meant that using Presley as an excuse was off-limits.

“I’m not making this up. The Deleon Group indeed approached us for a collaboration, and they specifically wanted Presley to handle the project,” Raymond said, noticing Bryan’s disbelief. Quickly, he pulled out the proof to back up his claim.

Bryan narrowed his eyes, his tone calm but firm. “Going forward, report these kinds of things directly to Eileen.”

Raymond thought of something and then asked, “What if she is dead set on opposing Presley?”
