Chapter 17:

I paused, reflecting on whether she was bothered by the condition I made.

Her hands flew across her hair, ruffling through it. I wanted to leave, knowing I couldn’t stand watching her like this. I was troubled, staring at her. I wanted her pain to be my pain, but I was mostly scared of rejection.

“Go in!” Ace’s voice rang in my head. I stilled, thinking it through. How do I explain the fact that I’m at her window, sneaking into her room?

“Not now, Ace. We will have her, I assure you, but definitely not now…” I turned to leave, but I couldn’t. At least not with the way my heart was thumping heavily.

Damn the rules. I’m a Lycan after all. I make the rules, and I break the rules. The rule is me! I shoved her window open.

I tried to fit inside the window, my body massive and struggling to enter without making noise, but it didn’t go as planned.

My feet touched the floor, and my hand accidentally hit the glass, immediately drawing her attention.

Just as I thought, she turned sharply to the window, her eyes meeting mine. Maybe she couldn’t see me clearly in the dark, but I caught her gaze.

Fear. Panic. That’s what I saw, and I immediately knew what she was about to do. I pushed my body through with full force, trying to prevent her from acting on her instinct.

I flew across the room, pinning her to the bed, my hand covering her mouth sharply, preventing the scream that was about to tear from her.

She stilled, her heart racing, the thumping sound loud enough for me to hear. Her sweet scent was overwhelming, and it was enough to make me want her right there, in her bed.

Damn! Ace stirred, my body reacting, my dick twitching. This was the effect I was after. This was what she did to us.

Her body was fragile, soft, and tempting. The crazy things this girl did to me, even without knowing it.

Staring into her blue eyes, she looked so innocent—so innocent, that all I could wish for was to taint that innocence.

I wanted to take her to my dark world, dominate her, make her mine, and break her. But she looked way too innocent for that.

She bit her lip, an action that sent hunger coursing through my veins. It awakened the cougar in me, and Ace growled.

She tried to push me away, but I didn’t budge. Instead, I pinned her to the bed, my weight pressing down on her.

I shifted slightly so I wouldn’t crush her under my Lycan-heavy form.

“Ryder?!” Her voice came out as a whisper. Fck! My name escaping from those sexy lips of hers was all I wanted to hear. All I could imagine was sliding into her and hearing her moan my name. I swear, I must have her and make her mine. She’s mine alone.

“Baby Vixen,” I whispered back, my eyes locking with hers, staring into her blue eyes. They were enchanting, compelling me, pulling me into a web of desire.

“What do you want?” she whispered. She wasn’t helping to ease the dark thoughts I had in mind for her; in fact, she seemed to indulge me more innocently, without even realizing it.

She tried pulling her hands away for the second time, but I didn’t let her. I pinned her hands down, and she was right where I wanted her—my humble submissive. Looking so helpless in my hold, her gaze compelled me, telling me she was mine to do with as I pleased. Those were the looks I craved—the ones full of mercy, her silent pleas, and her loud moans. Her cries for mercy, begging me to stop—I wanted them all.

“You know what I want,” I growled, my eyes never leaving hers. I could smell her arousal, it was messing with my senses, driving Ace and me wild.

“You can’t just… break into my room like this,” her voice trembled as she spoke, and I felt satisfied knowing I made her feel that way.
