Shunned By An Alpha, Cherised By A Lycan

Chapter 18

Chapter 18:

“What if someone saw you?” The fact that she was worried about me sent the demons inside me soaring. Such an angelic soul. Too bad the devil in me craves her.

I still couldn’t shake off the memory of her lips. The way they felt, soft and inviting, had ignited a thirst within me that refused to be quenched. The taste of her lingered on my lips—nutty and sweet, a haunting reminder of what I was about to claim. Or so I thought.

The sudden knock at the door shattered my reverie, snapping me back to reality. I was standing in Jasmine’s bedroom, my eyes fixed on the bed where we had shared a moment that would change everything.

“Hide,” she whispered urgently, pushing me toward the bed.

I hesitated, taken aback by the absurdity of the situation. A Lycan king like myself, hiding under a bed? It was laughable. I wanted to speak up, to tell her I didn’t need to hide from anyone—that I was the one they should fear.noveldrama

But then I saw the look in her eyes—pleading, desperate. Her lips whispered a quiet plea as her voice trembled, her gaze soft yet urgent. Something in her expression tugged at my heart, and before I knew it, I was squeezing my massive frame into the tiny space under her bed.

The wooden slats creaked in protest as I wedged myself into the narrow gap. My head banged against the wooden boards above, and I rolled my eyes, feeling ridiculous in my position—a powerful Lycan king reduced to hiding like a child. But I couldn’t deny the thrill of being so close to her, even if it was under her bed.

As I lay there, I could hear her feet shuffling about, her voice inaudible as she spoke to whoever was at the door. My senses were on high alert, ready to spring into action if needed. But for now, I remained hidden, trapped in this tiny space, with only my thoughts to keep me company.

And my thoughts were consumed by her.

Who was she, really? This mysterious woman who had captured my attention and ignited a fire within me? I knew so little about her, yet I felt drawn to her in ways I couldn’t explain.

The sound of footsteps grew louder, and I tensed, ready to defend her if necessary. But the voice that spoke was one I recognized. It was one of those voices you had to listen closely to identify.

“Jasmine, we need to talk,” it said—firm but cautious.

It was a man’s voice… I strained my ears, trying to pick up any hint of aggression, but there was none. Just a sense of urgency.

“Come in,” Jasmine replied, her voice calm and collected.

Jason! I recognized him at that moment—the proud, self-righteous bastard. How I hated the very sight of him—a brother, indeed.

His presence in Jasmine’s room made my blood boil. What the hell was he doing here? I gritted my teeth in anger, my fists clenched, fighting the urge to burst out of my hiding spot and confront him. My heart raced with fury, my mind consumed by visions of tearing him limb from limb.

“We shouldn’t be here,” Ace said, equally angry, nudging me to leave my cover. But then, I heard Jasmine’s soft voice, gentle and tender, like a summer breeze on a still day. It stilled me, calming the storm that raged within.

“I told Mom I’d think about it,” she sighed tiredly.

“There’s nothing to think about,” Jason hissed, his voice firm and impatient. “You heard what Mom said. It’s either you leave soon or live with Ryder as his sex slave,” Jason sneered, and I felt my stomach tighten.

“There’s barely any choice for me, is there?” Jasmine asked.

“No, there isn’t. We’re not going to let you be a whore to some Lycan king,” his voice was filled with hatred, and my hand curled into a tight fist, my jaws tightening with rage.

“I’ll make you Luna instead of Stephanie. That’ll do justice to everything.” Jason’s voice was coaxing. Justice, indeed—his offer, as though it were some glamorous prize.
