Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1353

Anya took a few days off from university to head home and celebrate her baby brother's first birthday, and Leo tagged along for the trip.

Andre had been friends with the Calder family for years. Knowing they didn't have a big crowd of relatives and friends, he brought his wife and son over the day before the birthday to show some support.

When he saw his nephew, Andre couldn't help but ask, "Did you remember to bring a gift?"

Leo pulled out a tiny gold bracelet. "Uncle, I got this for him."

Andre just gave it a quick look, said nothing, and headed inside.noveldrama

Leo was left scratching his head until Mia sidled over and explained, "My husband was worried you wouldn't know the whole gift-giving thing, so he bought something on your behalf-just in case. But since you brought your own, Andre's present ended up going to our little Henry."

That's how Henry ended up with a mysterious gold locket from his own dad.

At the Calder place, Henry was shy at first, glued to his dad's arms. But once he settled in, he lit up-pushing off the couch with his little hands and wobbling over to join his big brother.

If he could be carried by Dad, he'd never touch the ground, but the minute he was set down, he'd toddle right into his brother's arms. Even trips to the bathroom had to be hand-in-hand with his big bro.

They stayed with the Calders for two days, helped James celebrate his birthday, then the family of three packed up to leave. When it was time to say goodbye, little Ash clung to Henry's hoodie, sobbing so hard it left Henry completely bewildered.

Leo and Anya didn't leave. Anya wanted to spend more time with her family.

Leo kept nudging Anya to practice driving. He loved the idea that if he was ever too busy, Anya could just drive herself home for a visit.

But the moment Anya stepped out of driving school, everything she'd learned vanished—she wanted nothing to do with the steering wheel.

"Ms. Anya, that 'Student Driver' sticker on the back cost ten bucks. Can you at least make it worth it?"

Anya pouted and reluctantly slid behind the wheel. Leo spent the next three days trying to teach her, but finally just shook his head. "Guess I'm destined to be your chauffeur for life."

Anya hopped out of the car, grinning from ear to ear.

Later, driving back from Willowtown to Havenbrook on the highway, Anya piped up, "Chad, let me drive! Highways seem easy no oncoming cars, no traffic lights

Leo gave her a look. "You're brave because you don't know any better."

She didn't get it-until Leo had her pull over so she could watch the cars fly by After that, Anya never claimed highways were easy agam, In fact, when she hit 31 mph, she'd immediately drop down to 30 Leo couldn't help teasing, "Even the people on scooters are passing us."

Anya shot back, "If you bought me a scooter, I'd pass them too."

Leo groaned. "They're on two wheels, you're on four!"

"I know how to count," Anya replied with a huff.

Eventually, Leo took the passenger seat, but he couldn't stop chattering. "Chad,

can you please stop nagging? You're stressing me out~"

Leo gritted his teeth and took a deep breath. “Pull over, Anya. I'm going to buy us some life insurance before we go any further."

Anya: "..."
