Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 829

Five hours later, the doors to the operating room finally opened.

Wilson, who had been waiting by the door, quickly strode over.

Yvette's delicate features were shadowed with undeniable fatigue, her face a bit pale. She looked up at Wilson with a slight smile in her voice.

"The surgery was a success. Grandma is out of danger."

"Yvie, thank you!" He pulled her tightly into his arms, as if he wanted her to meld into him.

"No need to thank me," Yvette said. "I'm just glad Grandma is okay."

Martha had always treated her like her own granddaughter, so as long as she was safe, it was all worth it.

"Ms. Murray... please wait..."

Hearing voices behind her, Yvette turned and saw the group of once-arrogant specialists now rushing toward her in a frenzy.

Yvette frowned, her tone icy. "What is it?"

"Well, Ms. Murray, there were a few steps during the operation we couldn't quite catch... could you teach us now-"

"Get lost, all of you," a cold, piercing voice cut them off.

Wilson's expression was icy, and a terrifying chill radiated from him, making their skin crawl.

Yvette was already so exhausted, and these fools had the nerve to pester her.

"M-Mr. Quinn"

The doctors, so eager to learn from Yvette, had completely ignored Wilson's presence. Now, meeting his fierce gaze, their legs went weak with fear.

"W-We'll leave immediately!"noveldrama

With that, they vanished without a trace. It was a testament to how deeply they feared him.

Wilson gently lifted Yvette into his arms and lowered his head, softly kissing her forehead.

"Baby, let me take you home to rest."

Yvette had flown for over ten hours

to get back to Jubilife and then

spent seven hours in surgery. Even a person made of steel wouldn't have held up. Śwnovel

exhausted, didn't resist. She

obediently leaned into his broad, warm chest. "I'll sleep for a bit ove

me when Grandma is awak,~

"Alright."

As he watched her drift off in his arms, Wilson's expression softened immeasurably, and he carried her outside.

The moment they stepped out of the hospital, they ran into Jasper, who had

rushed back from Jeckton.

"Wilson... how is Grandma doing..."

"Quiet."

Wilson cut off his concerned

question impatiently, and Jaspernet

instantly looked nervously at Yvette in his arms. Luckily, she was deeply asleep and wasn't disturbed.

Holding her more tightly, Wilson turned his gaze back to Jasper. "Yvie operated on Grandma herself. Grandma is out of danger now."

"That's amazing!" Jasper breathed a sigh of relief, then looked gratefully at the sleeping Yvette. "Yvie is incredible!"

"I'm taking her home to rest."

Jasper quickly nodded in agreement. "Don't worry, Wilson. I'll stay here with Grandma."

Although Jasper was often unreliable, he was dependable when it came to his family.

Wilson nodded without hesitation. "Good."
