Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 881

In the meeting hall of the Dark Organization, two elderly men with white hair were gathered together, chatting excitedly. They were full of energy.

"I heard that Yvie brought her boyfriend back!" one said.

"Oh, my!" the other replied. "We finally get to meet Yvie's boyfriend! I'm actually a bit excited!"

On the video screen, Ellen watched their enthusiasm with a helpless expression, rubbing her temples. After a moment, she said knowingly, "Mr. Earle, Mr. Stafford, I doubt you'll be too thrilled to meet him."

"Nonsense, Ellen! Why wouldn't we want to meet Yvie's boyfriend?" Ezekiel Earle retorted immediately.

"Exactly!" Solomon Stafford agreed. "While we may think it's a bit early for Yvie to have a boyfriend, it's still wonderful that she's found someone she likes!"noveldrama

"Yes, yes! What matters most is Yvie's happiness!"

Ellen didn't argue further, a faint smile lifting at the corner of her eyes as she watched them knowingly.

Soon enough, those two wouldn't be smiling anymore!

"Mr. Earle, Mr. Stafford, Ms. Murray is here," a guard announced respectfully as he entered.

The elders' smiles grew even brighter as they moved quickly toward the door.

"Yvie!"

As Yvette stepped into the meeting hall, she was immediately surrounded by the two elders. A slight smile appeared on her pretty face as she greeted them warmly.

"Mr. Earle, Mr. Stafford."

"Yvie, you're finally back! We've missed you so much!"

With those words, their gaze shifted to the man standing beside her.

"Yvie, is this your boyfriend?"

"Yes, Mr. Earle, Mr. Stafford. It's a pleasure to meet you both," Wilson responded, appearing humble and polite-exactly the type that elders favored.

As expected, Ezekiel and Solomon were even more pleased with him, smiling as they spoke.

"Very good, very good. As expected of the person Yvie has chosen. He's quite the fine young man!"

They had always adored Yvette like she was their own, indulging her every whim since childhood. And now, with Wilson's impressive looks and presence, they were all the more satisfied.

But then, a sudden realization crossed Solomon's face, and he spoke up abruptly. "Wait... doesn't he look a bit familiar?"

Ezekiel replied, "Now that you mention it, he does seem oddly familiar..."

In the video, Ellen stifled a laugh. Then, she said in a calm tone, "Familiar? Of course he is. Mr. Earle, Mr. Stafford, he's the very same

Shadow Alliance leader you both hate so much."

"What?"

The elders' faces fell. They looked as if they had swallowed a fly.

Ellen couldn't help but laugh at their reactions.

After the initial shock, the two elders seemed to understand. No wonder the Shadow Alliance had gone to such lengths, even sending an intercontinental ballistic missile their way!

They had thought it was a gesture of goodwill or a plea for peace. They hadn't expected the reason to be this!

"We don't approve!"

The elders' anger flared as they thought about all the disputes they'd had with the Shadow Alliance over the years.

"Yvie, break up with him immediately!"

"You don't approve?" Yvette's eyes narrowed lazily, unbothered, as she spoke calmly. "Then return the intercontinental ballistic missile."

"No way!" Ezekiel and Solomon answered in unison, refusing outright.

Return it? Impossible! Once something was given to them, it was theirs to keep. They weren't about to give it back!

Seeing their reaction, Wilson's lips curved, and a quiet chuckle escaped his throat.

Now he understood where Yvette inherited her take-all, give-nothing attitude from.

Ezekiel and Solomon weren't the only ones reluctant to give back the missile, even Ellen wasn't willing to part with it.

"That intercontinental ballistic

missile is a gift from the Shadow Alliance, part of the wedding gift. If you won't return it, Mr. Earle, Mr. Stafford, then you'll have to approve of this marriage."
