Book 3 Chapter 39.
Harmony POV.
It has been a rough few weeks since the whole Joel incident. The DeAngelis family were informed, and they interrogated Dana. She didn't know anything. Joel approached her in a bar, knowing who Lucky was. He told her he was a friend of her son and she believed him because she was desperate. We let Dana go, and she promised she would stay away and if Lucky ever contacted her, that was on him. He hasn't.
We had Joel's phone and handed everything over to Gabriella DeAngelis and with her and her family and mine; they went after every contact in Joel's phone, finding more auctions and shut them all down.
They made examples of each person. In a few sort weeks, the world knew what was happening, and it caused mass riots until the higher ups had to get actively involved to help in the efforts to stop the auctions.
I think Benito, my cousin, had a huge part to play in that. He is the mafia king now, after all. Rumour has it that he personally went to the President and told him what he wanted, holding some valuable information over his head. So basically he blackmailed the President and all the heads of each country in the world to start acting.
More and more auctions were closed down and the don's in each country where these auctions were happening made an example. It would seem the mafia as of right now are ruling over everything.
Momma got called in by the Mother's Revenge with more assignments. Dads weren't happy, but they knew it was what she did best. So she is currently in Japan helping the yakuza shut one down. We are expecting her home in two months.
As for Mystique, well, she made a full recovery. She is healed and is still as active as ever. Noah, the vet, and the interns from the zoo come by once a week to see her and study her. All that matters to me is Mystique is safe and well.noveldrama
As for the pregnancy, well, word got out and Melody, as predicted, has become overprotective. She told me off this morning because I was sorting laundry. I wasn't even standing up to do it.
She thinks the baby will be a girl, because she said if it's a boy, she will die because boys are smelly. I chuckled at this, but Mav was mortified. Especially when she told her dad that he is smelly because he wears smelly biker boots. I burst out laughing. His face was priceless.
The insurance paid out quickly for the shop and the club and my family are helping not only set up the bar but now the reconstruction of my coffee shop. Luckily enough, the shop was only damaged on the inside, but once again, the family did their thorough checks once the scene was cleared.
Again, I was not allowed inside. This over protectiveness with them all now that I'm pregnant is something I am used to. The club and my family have always been overprotective of me and Harry, but more so now.
Today, however, we have a hospital appointment to see our baby. I'm so excited but nervous at the same time. Melody, before she left for school, told me to rest and drink plenty of water and eat my fruit. She is like the mom, it's heartwarming and makes me love her more if that is even possible.
As for Mav, he is currently at the clubhouse and so it is me and Mystique who is currently sleeping in her bed. Aka on the old sofa. I felt bad that she was shot protecting me, so she now has the sofa. It's hers and hers only.
I am looking for a bigger house not just for Mystique, but for my growing family. Mav is looking with the help of the club and, according to him, he may have found something that meets our needs. We made a list of what we wanted. He even said if needs be he would build a house. I couldn't ask that of him. We have too much to do and so little time to do it.
So we compromised. Once everything has settled down, and the baby is here, then he can do what he wants. If he wants to build a house, he can. The less stress, the better. I think we have had enough of that in the short time I have known him. I just want to chill and focus on what I have on my plate at the moment.
The sound of a bike breaks my thoughts, and I know it's Mav. He is here to take me to our first hospital appointment and the first time we will see our baby. The front door opens, and he walks in with that charming smile on his handsome face. He walks close to me and kisses me and I kiss him back before he moves to Mystique and gives her chin a scratch and her nose a boop. She loves the nose boop. Or her toe beans being touched.
She just loves affection, and she gets it in bucket load with us. To us, she isn't this rare big cat, to us she is just a house cat. But one that is huge. She even wears a collar and we can walk her around the block on her leash.
People are always fascinated by her. I mean, it's not everyday you see a little woman like me walking a huge Patger. It's a good thing people in town know who she is.
"How's mom and baby doing? Did you eat enough? Drink enough? Do you need the bathroom?" He asks me and I chuckle.
"Ok, calm down with the questions. We are both fine, yes I ate and drank enough and no, I don't need the bathroom." I answer with a chuckle and he looks at me before he rubs the back of his neck. Yeah, I think someone is going in to overdrive.
"Ok, that's good. Right, let me change and I we will get going." He says and I raise an eyebrow at him, change. Why does she need to change? He is fine the way he is. He can see the question in my eyes.
"I was working on the bike. My jeans and t-shirt are covered in grease and oil. Can't go to the hospital like that. It is a sterile environment, you know." He says and I laugh, nodding my head at him as he kisses me once more and runs up the stairs. I move to stand when Mystique growls at me and I roll my eyes at her.
"I'm just standing, jeez you are as bad as your dad and little sister." I say as I push myself up and walk into the kitchen. I wouldn't mind there is no bump and won't be for a few months yet, but they are all acting like I will break if I move. I feel the nose pressed against the back of my leg and smile as I wash the dishes with Mystique watching over me. She leaps up onto her hind legs, drinking from the running tap.
I chuckle at her as he pushes off the sink and lands on her feet before she yawns, stretches, and saunters away. Who needs a guard dog when you have her?
Once I have finished washing the dishes and set them down. Mav enters the kitchen and wraps me in his arms from behind.
"Good thing Melody isn't here. She would have a fit." He says chuckling as he kisses my neck and I giggle, because he isn't wrong. I blame the tiny terrors. Johnny and James, they have been telling Melody what to expect and how they were with their mom and she is following their lead.
I wouldn't mind. I am like a second mom to all the club kids. I'm not the pied piper for nothing.
Once I have finished and we have double checked the house, we leave to head to the hospital, in my cage, of course, because I am not allowed on the bike. I wasn't going to argue with that. May is talking to me and telling me what is happening with the club and everything that has been happening as we pull into the hospital parking lot.
The nervous butterflies are making themselves known and I can't wait to see our baby. I'm so excited I could just pee. But that will be because of the amount of water I have drank so we can get a clear image of our baby.
We enter the antenatal department and Mav checks me in as I sit and wait, looking at the pictures on the wall and looking at the heavily pregnant women here. That will be me soon and I can't fucking wait.
