The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1477

Unfortunately, there's no option to turn back time.

Mirabella's eyelashes drooped slightly, pausing for a second before she changed the subject, "When do you plan to return to the family?"

Paul, habitually holding his long pipe but not lighting it, simply said, "I'll head back in a couple of days."

Mirabella nodded, "It's better to go back early, it's not safe out here."

"What about you? Santos already knows you're still alive; his people will definitely not let you go," Paul said with a serious expression.

The corners of Mirabella's lips lifted slightly as she spoke lightly, "If some people are unavoidable, then I'll just wait for them to come to me."

“But.....” Paul opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by Mirabella again.

“I used to think that one should live comfortably, being a lazy fish isn't bad,” Mirabella's gaze shifted towards the window, her eyes carrying an unfathomable depth before she turned back, "but now it seems that idea was wrong."noveldrama

Paul looked at her, suddenly feeling a bit pained. The fact that she could say such words showed how much this incident had affected her.

"Rea, the fate of the Stevenson family has always been tumultuous and out of our control. Now that you've escaped this vicious circle, why bother stepping back into it?" Paul sighed lightly.

"I know what I'm doing." Mirabella's eyes lost their coldness, and then she took out a bottle from her pocket and handed it to Paul, "Please give this to Cassie for me."

Paul took the bottle without looking inside. Suddenly remembering something, he asked, "Did Cassie know about your situation all along?"

Mirabella remained silent, and seeing this, Paul had his answer. He pocketed the bottle expressionlessly, not asking further.

However, Cassie, far back in the family, felt an inexplicable chill run down his spine at that moment.

His premonitions were always eerily accurate.

Mirabella and Paul talked about other things for a couple more hours before she left.

As she stepped out of the hotel, a light rain began to fall. Standing at the doorway, her black clothing and slender body appeared as fragile as paper, as if a gust of wind could blow her away.

At that moment, a sedan pulled up at the entrance.

The car door opened, and James stepped out from the driver's side, holding an umbrella. He walked around the car towards Mirabella.

"How did you know I was here?" Mirabella was slightly taken aback seeing the man approaching.

"I was worried you might be upset," James simply stated, extending his free hand to grasp Mirabella's cold one.

Mirabella, realizing the gesture, couldn't help but shake her head with a mix of laughter and tears, "I'm not the type to dwell on things."

"I know," James said, looking into Mirabella's eyes with sincerity, "I'm just worried."

Meeting his gaze, Mirabella felt a warmth in her heart. She curled her fingers slightly, gripping his hand back, "I'm okay."

"Where do you plan to go now? Home or...?" James inquired.

"I'm a bit hungry," Mirabella mentioned, her appetite having been poor recently, almost never feeling hungry. But now, she suddenly felt like eating something.

Hearing this, James led her to the car, then let go of her hand to open the door for her, "Let me take you out t for a meal. How about Knox's Herb & Hearth?"

The herbal cuisine there was mild and would be suitable for helping her recuperate.

Mirabella agreed, bending down to get into the car.

Half an hour later, the car pulled up outside Herb & Hearth.
