Unforgettable love

Chapter 769

Chapter 769:.

Matthew asked, “Are you mad?”

Dolores shook her head and said, “No.” But she felt uncomfortable.

Jessica brought breakfast. Matthew lifted her quilt and took her to the bathroom to wash up, then put her on the chair at the table. Dolores said, “I don’t want to eat now. Put me to bed.”

Matthew put her to bed. She pulled the quilt over herself and lay on her side with her back to him, “You eat first. I’m a little sleepy. I’ll eat later.”

Jessica put the food down and walked over, “You sleep day and night. Now can you still sleep? Let’s eat first. The food will get cold later.”

She didn’t know that Dolores was having a tantrum with Matthew.

She went over and continued to coax Dolores, “Now you don’t eat just for yourself. You have to think about the baby in your belly. Come on, get up. Let’s eat first.”

Dolores said nothing.

Matthew stood still and looked at her with an expressionless face.

Jessica looked at Dolores and then at Matthew and thought she sensed that they seemed to have argued.

She didn’t know who was right and who was wrong, but the first thing she did was to side with Dolores, “Did they have a fight? You know better than anyone the state of Lola’s health at the moment, how come you keep arguing with her?”. Matthew didn’t explain himself and just gave Dolores a look.

Jessica was now sure they might have argued. Dolores was pregnant and had been raised by her. Of course, she sided with him, “How can you fight with Lola at this point? She’s risking her life to give you a baby and you’re making her angry.”

Jessica’s words become increasingly harsh, “You’re really going too far…”

“No. We didn’t fight.” Dolores could no longer listen to Jessica berating Matthew. She lifted the quilt, “I’m going to eat.”

Jessica was confused, “You didn’t fight? Then why are you mad?”

She wasn’t even eating?

“When have I ever been angry?” Dolores denied.

“You look like someone owes you money. You’re really not angry?”

Jessica trailed off, “Come have breakfast.”

Matthew picked her up and put her in a chair at the table. Dolores picked up her spoon and as she was about to eat her porridge, she noticed Matthew wasn’t sitting down. She looked up, “You’re not eating?”.noveldrama

Matthew said nothing and just felt a headache. This woman exasperated him.

She wasn’t capricious, just occasionally, but he couldn’t do anything about it and he had to cajole her.

Dolores knew better than to do that and reached out to pull him along, “My mistake. Come on, let’s go eat. You have to go to the office later.”

Matthew then sat down, “Sooner or later I’m going to get mad at you.” Dolores was speechless.

She took a spoonful of porridge and put it in her mouth, “I made a mistake and then I’ll change. Don’t be angry.”

Matthew felt amused and annoyed at the same time, when had this woman become so devious?

Jessica saw him and smiled as she closed the door behind her.

Matthew pushed her hand away, “Stop it. Don’t think I won’t get mad if you do this.”

Dolores declined and swiped the spoon across his mouth again. The gruel from the spoon stained her lips, “Okay, you can stay angry, but you have to eat. You can’t live on air either.” Matthew was speechless.

He pinched her cheeks angrily, “You did that on purpose, didn’t you?”.

“Ouch…”

Dolores turned her head to stop him from pinching her cheeks.

Matthew ate the porridge she gave him. The little disagreement between them from a moment ago was more or less over.

After eating, Matthew took her back to bed and left.

Jessica came over to pick up the dishes and asked, “Did you two have a fight?”

Dolores said, “No.”

“No?” Jessica was clearly not convinced.

So Dolores told her what had happened. As soon as she heard that Dolores wanted to leave, Jessica immediately said, “It’s your fault. Normally, no one would have said anything if you wanted out. But what’s your situation now, how can you be so capricious? No wonder Matthew is angry. If it were me, I’d have to be angry too.” Dolores was speechless.

She said resentfully, “Are you my mother or his mother? How come you’re taking sides with him?”

“I’m taking sides with the right person.” Jessica looked at her, “Now you stay out here and think about what you’ve done.” Dolores was speechless again.

She lay back down aggravated. She had just finished eating and was lying down, so she felt quite uncomfortable in her stomach. Then she sat up again.

Just then Matthew came in and Dolores looked at him, “You haven’t been to the office?”

Matthew said he hadn’t gone.

“Then where did you go?”

Matthew, “I went to see the doctor.”

Dolores blinked and asked nervously, “Is there something wrong with me?”

“I said I was going to take you out.” Matthew walked over.

Dolores was lost in thought for a moment. When she came to, she smiled brightly, “Thank you.”

Matthew growled, “Now you even dare to throw a tantrum with me. Dare I disobey you?”

Dolores stretched her two thin white arms around his waist and pouted, “I’ve apologized. Why do you keep talking about it? That’s no way for a man to behave.”

Matthew was speechless.

If it wasn’t a man, was it a woman?

Dolores smiled, “Thank you.”

Matthew didn’t want her thanks, “We’re not leaving until around noon.”

Dolores nodded immediately, “Yes.”

As long as she was allowed to leave.

She called Noah and told him not to come pick her up.

Armand had also been discharged this morning, but the doctor had asked him to recuperate at home. Once outside the hospital, Armand insisted Theresa get a marriage license.

Theresa told him she would wait until he was well enough to get a marriage license, but Armand refused and insisted on going now. For the sake of his injury, Theresa agreed.

It took them only an hour to do so. They left the Civil Affairs Office and took the car home. As she had discussed with Elizabeth beforehand, Elizabeth had asked Dora to clean the house, open the bedroom windows for ventilation, and replace all the bedding with new linens.
