Chapter 770
Chapter 770:.
Theresa helped Armand and rang the doorbell. Elizabeth’s legs were too weak to move in her wheelchair, so it was Dora who opened the door.
There was a stranger in the house and Armand asked, “Who are you?”.
Dora replied, “I’m the new maid taking care of Mrs. Bernie.” Armand understood and came in.
Elizabeth was glad to have Armand back, “Go lie down in your room.”
Armand did not leave right away, but looked at Elizabeth and said, “Grandma, I need to talk to you.”
Elizabeth seemed in a good mood and asked, “What’s this about?”
Armand showed her the marriage certificate, “Theresa and I have reconciled, we got our marriage certificate. We are now a family. You loved Theresa very much and I think in the future you may like her just as much.”
Elizabeth said, “That’s for sure.”
She turned to Theresa, “You must be tired from taking care of Armand in the hospital. Come and sit down and rest.”
“Dora, go get the tea.” Dora was very skilled and professionally trained to do everything.
She immediately poured a cup of plain water.
Theresa said, “I’m not tired. I want to take Armand to his room.”
Elizabeth said, “That’s okay. You can rest for a while too.”
Theresa said yes and helped Armand to his room. Dora carried the water and Elizabeth looked at her and said, “Put it on the table. Prepare a hearty meal for lunch. It’s a good day.”
Armand had survived his ordeal and Theresa had agreed to reconcile with him. It was indeed a rare good day and it was to be celebrated.
Dora said yes, “I happened to go to the grocery store yesterday and bought a lot of stuff. Now I’m going to get ready.” Inside the bedroom.
Theresa helped Armand to bed and then went to close the window and turn on the air conditioner.noveldrama
Armand leaned over the bed and asked, “Is the person watching Grandma?”
Theresa was drawing the curtains and just answered without turning around.
Armand frowned. Theresa walked over and asked him what was wrong, Armand said, “You don’t look very old, can you take care of Grandma?”
Theresa said, “Grandma likes him.”
Armand sighed. Elizabeth was old and her days were numbered, so they left her alone. Armand motioned to her, “Come and rest.”
Theresa was a very soft-hearted and kind person. She gave him a chance, even though he had behaved like a jerk. After he was in trouble, she took care of him in every way. He saw and remembered all this.
Armand was grateful to her.
Theresa sat on the edge of the bed and Armand took her hand, “Why don’t we leave when he’s better.”
He was worried that Theresa wouldn’t feel comfortable living here and, most of all, he was afraid that Elizabeth would always bring up the baby.
“We’ll move into Boyce’s block and be neighbors with him, what do you think?”
This was really what Theresa wanted. She mainly didn’t want to confront Elizabeth because she wouldn’t stop talking about the baby.
It didn’t matter if she was going to be Boyce’s neighbor or not. The main thing was that she didn’t want to live with Elizabeth.
“Is that okay?” Theresa felt in her heart that Elizabeth would disagree. After all, Armand was the only family member she had, and she was older. Usually, older people like to have their loved ones close by.
Armand thought about it, “When I heal, I’ll say that there’s a hospital in C-Town that does IVF well, that we can find someone there, and then we’ll settle in there for a while.”
He was making a big deal about Theresa. After all, her career was in C-Town. She had already sacrificed so much for him, and he couldn’t let her lose her career again
He grabbed Theresa’s hand, “I know you’re upset. When we get there, we’ll say we’ve found the right person, and when the time comes, we’ll adopt one and tell him he’s our son.”
Theresa didn’t think she was thinking that hard and nodded firmly.
She leaned against Armand’s chest, “I don’t want to find someone because I don’t want there to be problems in the future. Even if it’s our bloodline, it’s still alive in someone else’s womb. It is said that a woman’s life is in danger when she gives birth. I have not suffered this, but I will be the child’s mother. What would happen to the child one day if she found out that I did not give birth to it? But I promised the grandmother. Even if she is anxious, I want to fulfill her wish.”
She cocked her head to the side, “I don’t want you to be childless either.”
Armand gripped her shoulder tightly and said nothing. He just kept those feelings and that affection deep inside him.
Knock, knock…
There was a knock at the door and Theresa went to open it. It was Dora. She was at the door: “The food is ready. Grandma asked you to come eat.”
Theresa said, “I know.”
Armand had been in bed for a while and was a little groggy. He asked what time it was. He felt how fast the time had passed and how it was time to eat so soon.
Theresa glanced at the time and said, “It’s almost eleven.”
She walked over to him, “Get up and have lunch.”
She helped Armand over to the table and sat down.
